Parasite

Alright, time for an episode rundown! Hmm, I guess I'll go by how the events happened chronologically in the episode:

  • Isaac is not so good at the lesson-learnin'. "I JUST ACCIDENTALLY SHOT MY GIRLFRIEND, BUT I'M GOING TO START SHOOTING AT YOU AGAIN ANYWAYS, K."
  • EVERYTIME PETER TURNS INVISIBLE IT ONLY SUCCEEDS IN MAKING ME MISS CLAUDE MORE. Wheeeeeeeeeeeen is he coming back! WHEN.
  • Hiro is adorable, but we have established that.
  • HRG, I LOVE YOU. :{ Haha, all of my Heroes-watching friends converted to my [Bennet-loving] side after Company Man. I was tempted to do a lot of "I-told-you-so"-ing. Ok, actually, I think I'm getting a bit of a crush on him. Whoops!
  • Matt is going to work for the AWI, onooooes. Greg Grunberg was saying that in the five-years-in-future-episode, Matt is in a "very dark place". I foresaw Matt hooking up with the organization, because he is concerned for the welfare of his pregnant wife and is worried that he won't be able to support her and their child in the future. With his stint at the LAPD likely ended and no other prospects in sight, a [supposedly, looking at the Bennet's house] well-paying job where he need not hide his ability, and may even be taught to hone it better, would be a pragmatic choice, and one that he would likely make in his desperate state. (yeah I totally cut and pasted that from my Company Man entry in my livejournal, but still). BUT, I definitely never thought he would stay with them for five years, ahh! I always found Matt to be ruled much more by his heart than his head, so I figured that what they were doing to the evolved humans would get to him quickly, and he consquently would only stay with the organization for a few months, maybe a year, tops. But five? Dang! However, I suppose Claude was with the company for at least 8 years before he started rebelling against them. Still. Dang.
  • Candace Willmer is a heinous bitch. RAAAARRRR SHE'S SO EVIL. I know she's supposed to be, but still. Nnnnn, I miss Eden. Also, when the spoiler for Candace said she had "a tremendous amount of sex appeal", I thought they were alluding to her having the power of seduction. Apparently they were just saying she was foxy. Anyways, SYLAR COULD DO SUCH EVIL THINGS WITH THE POWER OF ILLUSION. Maybe he'll kill her! Haha, I am a little mean.
  • Also, I wonder if the AWI is following Sylar's murders. Or if they outfitted him with a tracking isoptope before he flew the coop. 'Cause according to this, he was supposed to be injected with one when he got to Primatech ("RADIO ISOTOPE UPON DELIVERY"). So... uh, why aren't they stopping him. SLOPPY WORK, GUYS. And I wonder if Audrey is still on the Sylar case, or if she got bumped off of it because of the whole raiding-Primatech fiasco. I MISS AUDREY. :{
  • Ok, back to commenting on the episode itself. Um. "What they will do, even you can't recover from." Same thing they're going to Ted? I wonder what they do, specifically.
  • I KNEW NATHAN WOULDN'T JUST CONSORT WITH THE GUY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS WIFE'S INJURIES. sdjfks.
  • Will Peter be less emo with the loss of the emo-bangs? WE CAN ONLY HOPE. I want a little more of ass-kicking-Peter.
  • SANDRA IS AWESOME. She is so good at pretending to be clueless. And also her and HRG are adoraaaable. I wonder what's going to happen to her (and Lyle) now, because the company knows that she knows, and its not like they can erase her memories anymore without the Haitian, so what options are leeeeft ohgod. :& AND I ALREADY KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO [TRY TO] KILL HRG, OF COURSE. Its just a little foggier when it comes to his family members. Hana/Wireless better get off her ass and start being useful for once, because THE BENNETS ARE TOO COOL TO DIE. THE END.
  • Also, LOL SANDRA'S RINGTONE. I NEARLY LAUGHED TO DEATH.
  • Hahaha man! Everyone was all, "GOD FOR A PROFESSOR, MOMO SURE IS STUPID." LIES, he is just awesome at pretending everything is cool and not letting on that he knows. Win! Also, "I'll get him later", haha.
  • Ok, Nathan and Hiro need to have like, 9823849823 more scenes together. Agreed? AGREED. They are great together. And I say that in an entirely non-shippy way.
  • CANADA IS AWESOME, CLAIRE. GET WITH THE PROGRAM. forserious. Also, stop crushing on your uncle. COULD THE HAITIAN JUST BLURT OUT "HAYSUP YOU TWO ARE RELATED" SO SHE CAN STOP? THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
  • Detective Jeff Tracy - THE MOST UNOBSERVANT MAN IN THE UNIVERSE. "YEAH WE HEARD YOUR GIRLFRIEND MIGHT BE DEAD SO WE'RE HERE TO LOOK AROUND. I'M JUST GOING TO LEAN IN HERE AND LOOK TO MY LEFT. BUT NOT RIGHT, BECAUSE I AM AFFLICTED WITH AN INABILITY TO TURN IN THAT DIRECTION. MUCH LIKE ZOOLANDER. BUT IN REVERSE."
  • Mmmkay, what's the extent of Candace's power? Like, how could she replicate Simone's appearance, assuming she never saw or met her before? How did she know what Simone was wearing when she died? Can she use people's memories to assist in her illusions? CONFUSING. But also interesting. ONLY 43 MORE DAYS TIL WE GET SOME ANSWERS, WOO!
  • TOO MUCH BLATANT ADVERTISING, NUAAAAAAAAGH. I couldn't keep count of how many times I saw the Dell logo, and now they're actually showing, fullscreen, several seconds of gameplay from Heavenly Sword. Which honestly wouldn't bother me so much if it fit with the timeline of the show. They're in October 2006. How are they playing a game that isn't due to be released until June 2007? HUH? HOW?! Haha, its so sad that that's the only reason why it bothers me. But seriously. RESPECT THE CONTINUITY, WHOEVER-IS-IN-CHARGE-OF-IN-SHOW-ADVERTISEMENTS.
  • Ok, DL, I heart you, but please do something useful soon. sdkjfsdjfk. PLEASE.
  • Mmm, vengeful!Mohinder is foxy. And I'm going to make the same joke everyone has: "My name is Mohinder Suresh. You killed my father. Prepare to die!"
  • Also, is it wrong that I found the tuning-fork torture a little hot? JUST A LITTLE.
  • You know, I always think back to Sylar's apartment, and the little "Forgive me father for I have sinned" room, and I think, "are we ever going to see some of that apparently religiously-rooted guilt/feelings in Sylar, or have the writers forgotten it entirely and we're supposed to retcon it from our memories?" Well, I think that perhaps, finally, we saw a little of it in this episode! "Help find a way... to give me salvation." Yay. I wish there would at least be a little insight into how Sylar changed to the point where he didn't find himself bothered by that guilt anymore. Like, maybe some more of his change from Gabriel to Sylar. Anyways.
  • ITS LARRY ALMADA. Haha. Anyways, most important thing: HIRO AND ANDO REUNITED, and it feels so good. They are adorable. Joy!!
  • "I wasn't begging for my life. I was offering you yours." MAN IT DOESN'T GET MORE MYLAR-Y THAN THAT. Since when has Sylar ever given someone the opportunity to not be killed? MAYBE ITS BECAUSE HE HAS THE HOTS FOR MOMO, AMIRITE? Ok, I have to stop shipping. Stop shipping stop shipping stop shipping. Stop.
  • I will take this opportunity to reiterate: I HATE YOU, CANDACE. FRICK ON A STICK.
  • So does Claire realized she's related to Peter now? Because Mrs. Petrelli didn't exactly tell Claire her own last name. And she didn't really explain her relation to Peter. I HOPE SHE GETS IT BECAUSE THE UNCLE-CRUSHING IS WONKING ME OUT.
  • lolllllllllll how adorable is Linderman. Malcolm McDowell is freaking awesome. I love that he's turned Linderman into this somewhat-eccentric and bubbly guy. Despite being a mob boss.
  • SO. How does Linderman tie into all of this? Is he the real head of the AWI, and Kaito is just like the number two man? Or is he just a man with a personal interest in evolved humans? And how does he know all of that about Nathan and Peter and Claire? He must have someone watching Nathan. I wonder who :o
  • Oh, poor Mohinder. I wonder how long Sylar was wailing on him? And how exactly he went about beating/torturing him? YES I AM TWISTED AND I WANT TO KNOW. But anyways. GOODBYE, EMO BANGS! Hello scar! But if that is Peter's scar, then why couldn't he just call Claire's healing forward and close it up? Hmmm.
SO. That was my commentary for Parasite. It ended up SUPER LONG. Whooooops.

And in other Heroes-related news, Jason Badower is going to be doing another Heroes graphic novel in the future! The next four are apparently all being done by one person, and are all HRG related, but after that, Jason will probably be doing another one. HELL YES. I was so happy when I read that, haha.

Anyways, that's all for now!
